The Matka Khichdi

An amazing experience! The Matka Khichdi was delicious—perfectly cooked and full of authentic flavours. The service was outstanding, with friendly staff who ensured everything ran smoothly. The cozy warm atmosphere added to the charm, making it a perfect spot for a memorable meal. Highly recommend for anyone seeking great food and excellent service

Till date I have as many always eaten the standard version of kichidi (be that wet or dry). So, I had to try this restaurant to see whats different. I was amazed at the varieties of kichidi on the menu, and I opted to try the Rajwadi Kichidi (comes with yoghurt, papad, side onion salad and pickle/chilli). Definately I choose right. I do recommend if its 2 or more persons visiting the restaurant, each one opt for different kichidi variety so that each can share and try different variety of kichidi.(My only concern) And this is for Brent Council ASBO Enforcement Team - maek sure to hang around the entrance of Matka Kichidi in evenings/nights (weekdays and weekends) as a large group of yobs (mid-teens to early 30s? - all dressed in black and pretending to be wannabe gangster) heavily consume alcohol and get drunk outside the entrance and causing nuisance, which includes disturbing restaurant goers (not even a safe space to park cars). This is concerning for any guests who would like to viist Matka Kichidi in evenings/nights and disrespectful towards Lord Ganesh as Lord Ganesh's statue is by the entrance.

The food was amazing, staff were very friendly, service was quick and the atmosphere was amazing. Overall loved it and definitely recommend everyone to go and try it.

Lovely restaurant and they are obviously hidden away so people don’t see it but the service and food was amazing. The variety of khichdi is unbelievable and very tasty and the portions are generous too. They really do go out of their way to please customers thank you Uncle

vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for restaurants with delicious vegetarian food.matkab khichdi did not disappoint. Their vaghareli khichdi was a flavorful and satisfying meal. The ingredients were high-quality, and the presentation was impressive. I'll definitely be recommending this place to my vegetarian friends.
